The new Klipsch R-15PM is a new breed of speakers for those desiring compact 2-channel or 2.1 setup and audiophile quality.  Instead of connecting to an amplifier or a receiver, you can select one of five direct inputs for your audio source- USB, Bluetooth, optical digital, RCA analog stereo (with phono), and 3.5mm analog stereo, allowing you to hook up up to five devices simultaneously and select the source with either the included remote or a rear-mounted rotary volume/source selection control.  For 2.1 setup, because the R-15PM does not have built-in EQ, you are dependent on a powered subwoofer that has auto-EQ functions.  It's a typical 2-way bookshelf design with 50 watts per channel, a 5.25" woofer, a 1" horn-loaded tweeter, and frequency response 62Hz-24kHz (+/-3 dB).  At $449 a pair, it's a cost-effective way to make your hi-res Respighi and lossless Brandenburg Concertos sound newly brilliant again.
